For the past few days I’ve been watching the entire Disney Princesses movies. Now I’m watching The Little Mermaid and I suddenly remembered a story my uncle told me that when I was younger and didn’t go to school yet, he used to babysit me while my parents were at work. He said he’d left me in the TV room with a VHS of The Little Mermaid playing while he did some household chores one time. Suddenly, he said he was so shocked when I started screaming and running to him. When he checked the TV room, he saw Ursula doing her song (you know, the “poor unfortunate souls” bit). And I think since then, it kind of stuck to me. I mean, even now when I saw that part, my palms started to sweat. haha Seriously, as a child, who could blame me for actually screaming? I mean, look at her.
